Responsibilities

  • Network to locate potential clients and turn opportunities into long term customers
  • Continually work to maintain existing business
  • Work to establish ways to improve and/or increase existing relationships
  • Using market trends, industry standard best practices and creative ingenuity to continually explore areas to develop new business streams
  • Researching organizations and individuals online to identify new leads and potential new markets
  • Set up meetings between client decision makers and company leaders
  • Always ensure that the company is portrayed in a positive fashion
  • Research and cultivate an accurate perception of the organization’s mission and goals
  • Forecast business objectives and strive to fulfill them
  • Submit clear, concise and accurate weekly status reports
  • Attend industry functions, including conferences, association meetings, and related events to stay current with industry and market trends

Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 5-7 years of business development, marketing or sales strategic analysis
  • Exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to close deals – great sales skills
  • The ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated track record of achievement
  • In-depth knowledge of the IT industry and current trends
  • Strong social skills – excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
